I decided after 6 months of hard labor, that I'm not moving up the company ladder...and, I DON'T want to be a 'glorified slave' or 'super intern' forever. Mostly, I just want to be appreciated and/ or paid.
When I left tonight, feelings of freedom and redemption did not meet me at the door. I did not get a gold star at the end of the day. It will take me a few days, weeks, or years, to feel any sense of accomplishment.
In the mean time, I'll continue working at the gym shop, make some money, and finish my graduate school applications.
